Pictures from the 31st of Dec 2007--our baby is now 33 weeks along. I had a final late-term ultrasound and everything looks good. He's been head down for a while, with what I think is a shoulder poking out of the left side of my belly and a foot poking out of the right.
During the ultrasound the technician was able to focus in on baby's face and I was amazed by his range of expressions. At first, he looked like he was fast asleep and one of his eyebrows was twitching---maybe a good dream? then he was kind of sucking on his lips and startled awake. The tech and I laughed and he looked toward the sound of our laughing. It was absolutely amazing to see this fully formed little person with what looks to be an inquisitive personality! I really can't wait to meet him--
Tomorrow will mark the beginning of week 35 and Luca seems to be growing bigger by the hour. Climbing a flight of stairs now feels like an accomplishment as my belly expands. Forget stylish boots or anything with a heel---it's sneakers every day and I've made peace with my new, slow lumbering gait.
